By Tsering Tenzing Ghale @ Story Of My Tattoo I had been restless. Why??? It is because of this one particular tattoo that never got away from my mind. Every time, I passed by artist Joe (Five Keys Tattoo Studio, UK) there were crowds who had gathered to get the glimpse of his convention work. I am short so there is no way I could get a glimpse in that crowd of people. Sometimes they were tattoo lovers while other times camera people and journalists. And when I got the chance I did not have the courage to go ask single information about the tattoo nor the artist neither about the client. At the end of the day, I pushed myself further. How far I had pushed myself I don’t have an idea. But it was far enough, I think. There were few people around artist Joe. I stood by a camera girl. She did not speak much. Maybe because she was busy capturing every single moment. All I can say is maybe this and maybe that. Before she took

By Tsering Tenzing Ghale @ Story Of My Tattoo Each time I passed it the number grew and grew. See the show, not possible. Surprisingly, the huge, dark, polished nails, long curly hair and fit lady moved a little. The space between the two photographers was enough to push myself within. Nobody liked my move. Admiration, out of the box. Well, you got to take the advantage of the situation. Is it not?  A girl in here early twenties was on the traditional Indonesian carpet, lying. The apprentice had her shoulders. She could hardly move. Her eyes were closed. The small light on her round Asian face had my heart melted. Her eyes closed forcefully with the beats of the wooden hammer (Ulin). I can’t say; pleasure/pain. It is very difficult to say. Some tattoo for the beeping machine pleasure while others do not. This has become one big question till date. Not all wood can be used as Ulin. It must be a special wood. Today’s center of attraction is master Hendra (Folk Tattoo Spac

By Tsering Tenzing Ghale @ Story Of My Tattoo Who is great-grandmother? As a child I was bit shy. I did not have much friend. My greatest and best friend was my great-grandmother (name). She was the best person I have ever known. Every day I came home early because my best friend was waiting. She always had surprises. There was not a single day, she had not surprised me. Every day it was different and extra. She was like a baby. She was strong and very powerful mentally and physically. Most of her friends were in the living room under supervision or had left the earth. She was different. Most of the time, we played in the garden. We played games like tiger-and-goats (Bhakchal-local Nepali game), addition and subtraction, board games while other times she created her own games. She was creative too. But time made us apart. She left me in 5 th grade forever. I was still a child but my affection for her was like an adult. I think I was the saddest person and most affect

Mr Fix It

By Tsering Tenzing Ghale @ Story Of My Tattoo You are on the top of a 100 stores building with wings to fly, would you fly? Would you do it? Or you would not? The choice is yours. But remember there are outcomes (unknown) in both situations. Will you not trust your wings? Or would you trust the KARMA and fly? What? What? What would you do? Let’s say you did not, then what? Let’s say you did fly, then what? What are you thinking? You are thinking about the possibilities and all the outcomes in both situations but why? Why? Why are you making all the outcomes when you have not even begun the first stage of your action? We are all confused and our confusion drags us to outcomes that we don’t even have a hind, is it not? Yet we all assume this and that before we even did something? Life is funny and always like that. It makes us think and drag us to that corner of the world where we have to decide whether to stay or come out. Is it not? I think so. And so does artist Edward Sw
