Travelling is Working

Image
¨I travel every year for 2 months. You need to travel. It makes you very heal thy and powerful, too.. T his time I am in Nepal…Before I travel to Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and many more...I love travelling, meeting people and making friends every where..you know..it is very good….¨, says Duchen a Chinese Traditional Painting whose original plan was to travel for 1 year. After Nepal, she will travel to India, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt and Morocco (probably). It is a six months journey around. She said that her budget is very tight but we must not back-off. She says, ¨You must always have a sunshine in heart even at bad times.¨ This was her first time that she had requested her close friends to contribute some yuan to complete her travel. She says that it is not a big amount but collectively it is a big amount. More than 30 of her closest friends had sent money to her. Our conversation was quite difficult. It is because I do not know a singl

The Artist

Maybe today´s story is out of track, is it? No, absolutely not. How can you say that? We are on the right track as usual. Yes it is true that  Story Of My Tattoo  discloses the relationship between the tattoo and it´s owner including the owner background, beliefs, opinions, views, suggestions, profession both current and past, artists and studios, relationships, society, tradition, religious beliefs and many more. Story Of My Tattoo talks about tattoo artist, too . Why? Is that what you have in mind? A client visits a studio. Their shares their ideas, emotions and feelings to an artists. The artist then does his/her homework. They youtube it....google it...understand their clients. In all, they directly or indirectly get involved in the story even if it´s a tiny dot. The client´s story becomes an artist´s story. Is it not? Right now, I am with artist Anuz Shahi, Eros Ink Studio. He has been in the industry since the last 1 and half year. Surprisingly, he is the only artist withou

Cute Girl

Every-time I tried to think I went blank. Neither could I type nor think. No, I was wrong. I was caught up in their conversation. She was fat but very cute. I guess I had fallen to her cuteness (laughing). And she was cool too. She sat facing towards me. It turned me nervous and lost. Its a very funny feeling. I wanted to talk to her but I could not. Her friend did not take his eye of her. He maintained his eye contact as if he was the prince and I was the beast. Suddenly, she disclosed the secret about her tats. And that was the time, I entered the conversation. she has a tat on her shoulder. It is very simple one. Its her name on her shoulder inked by her friend in Boudhanath. ¨Excuse me, is there a tattoo studio in Boudhanath? I didn´t know it. Can you tell me where the tat shop is?¨, I asked in curiosity. I know there is one, its only a trick (act as if you don´t know anything at all if you want a girl to talk to you. Its an advise from my Dad to me.). She said in a nervo

Namaste II

¨Our eyes met in the wedding ceremony. He was from the groom side and myself from bride side. I must say it was love at first sight…….¨, says Bebika Shrestha Pradhan soon to be married to Prashnna Pradhan. We had spoken about Prashanna earlier, in detail. This is the continuation to the story ¨NAMASTE¨. I have named it ¨NAMASTE 2¨. I am their fan. Bebika and Prashanna´s love story begin in a filmy way. But I must say it is really cute, truly. And the best part is that they are getting married in one week's time. Bebika added, ¨I was standing outside the house to look the groom. And, as I turned to the right side my eyes met him. He was tall, smart and very handsome (laughing in happiness). I felt the butterflies in my stomach then and there. My heart beat rose and smile was born. I really wished I had the perfect word to describe my feelings…. at that point, the only thing I wanted to do was just stare at him..all I wanted was that boy..the boy of my dream……¨ My exciteme

¨Dad gifted me a guitar. I was in the 6th grade at the time. And, since then he always supported me and influenced me…¨, said Krijen Tuladhar well known as Kizzu among his colleagues. He performs in La Bella Cafe, Thamel with Swapnil Shrestha (Astral Band - Vocalist/Guitarist). The live show takes place everyday Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. ¨Is your Dad a musician, himself?¨, I asked in curiously. ¨No¨ was his answer in short and simple format. Besides his live performance, Kizzu teaches music in Triyog H.S. School, Elites Co.Ed. and Baba Boarding School in Kathmandu from Sunday to Friday. As an instructor he says, ¨I learn a-lot from my students. Everyday, I am learning something new. The students are very intelligent and musically talented. It is really fun to work with the children….I love it…Moreover I make a lot of friends and my network is rising daily…¨ Before he met Jeevan (Astral Band - Vocalist/Guitarist), he only knew the basics that he had l

¨I was always interest in art and always curious about creative work. My first painting (a pot with lots of colorful flowers) was hung at principal´s office. There was not any thought, I just painted. This made me superb happy, really happy. since then I gave continuation to it until one day……..¨, said Samir currently enrolled in Fine Arts program in Shrijana College of Fine Arts. The pot represents Nepal and the flowers - Nepalese. Nepal is called ¨A garden of beautiful flowers of various colors¨. There was big turn in Samir´s life. He changed his career track completely. After high school, he studied Hotel Management. There were three things behind it; study hotel management, go abroad and earn money. He recalls that going abroad was a very popular trend and fashion. He spent 6 beautiful years in the hotel industry. However, he did not clear his papers in time even after several attempts. Today he enjoys being in the art industry as a painter. He believes that art is the fi
