Converse



¨Getting inked is not a joke. It takes great courage because once inked it becomes a part of your life. We must remember three things before getting inked that are; Please! Get inked when you know what you´re doing, secondly always chose the right artist and finally make it a part of your beautiful world¨ says Mr. Pramod Khatiwada.
Early morning of 2012 Mr. Eros Maharjan (Friend) inked Mr. Pramod his second tattoo in the United Kingdom. They were both pursuing their undergraduates at the time. Mr. Pramod felt there was something missing in his body creating emptiness and that is when he had decided to have a tattoo. They were housemates in UK and today their friendship made them business partners of Roots Bar (A Bar first of its kind) and Eros Ink Studio, Thamel. Mr. Pramod named his first tattoo ¨Converse Shoe In An Electric Pole¨. It took 3 hours and half to complete it.

The hidden secret of this masterpiece has two sides. The converse shoe represents Mr. Pramod´s great passion for converse shoe. The electric poles represents the unmanaged and wired up electric poles erected in Nepal. The electric poles are tiny in size with too many tiny wires around it that is very dangerous and risky to the general public.
I asked Mr. Pramod what his feeling was and he replied ¨I feel good. It is a great art work and I am very happy with it. Moreover, it makes me smile every time I look at it.¨
He believes that this piece on his left arm has become a part of his life. And, does not have any plans to remove in the future as it makes him happy looking at it; he replied with a big smile when I questioned if he would remove it in the near future.
